i just wired up some gauges in my a pillar and everything worked fine when i just stuck the ground wires on some metal to make sure everything works.

when i went to permanently ground it i turned on the lights and just the gauges and steering wheel lit up. and when i turn on the lights and the radio is suppose to dim it dims out all the way where it isnt even visible.

i took off the ground for the gauges and it still does the same thing. what did i do wrong or **** up?

 

Sound like you blew your IP DIMMER fuse (#16). Check your wiring for possible shorts and then put a new 5-amp fuse in.

 

ya, it was the fuse, i though it was the gauge fuse, i changed it and everything works now
