Rear Monsoon Speakers Are the rear speakers subs or are the mid subs. I bought some replacements, the foam on te tock ones dried up and fell off. The replacements are Alpine SPR 174A Coaxial 2 Way oversize 6 1/2s. 4 ohms, 160 watts peak, 40 watts rms, 45hz-30khz. I hooked them up and when I turn up the stereo all the way, the cackle sounds like it is coming from the tweeter. Are these thewrong speakers? Whatam doing wrong. Im not to familiar with car audio so any advice would be nice. Thanks

Re: Rear Monsoon Speakers In the Monsoon system the 6" speakers in the B pillars are the low-pass speakers, meaning they mainly produce mid bass and bass. The speakers in the hatch area are the true rear high-pass speakers.
I beleive if hooked to the factory wiring the 6" speakers will not play full range.
