Default Ground wire???

Does anyone have a 1 farad cap in their systems. i need a better ground and im runnin an alpine V12 4 channel and V12 mono amp off the cap. i need a closer groud. where did u guys ground yours?

I am using a 4 farad cap, mine's grounded on the rear seat-belt mount.

My amp is right on the flat part behind the rear seats in an amp box. i tried the seatbelt one. and it was a bad ground and i wouldnt get any sound

Make sure your grounding to metal and not paint, if you haven't already. If you want to be sure drill you a little hole, and scrape a bit of parint and bolt that sucker in there. But thats where my amp is, and where its grounded(rear deck, seatbelt). Make sure it sparks when you toutch it, if your hot is hooked up of course.

I grounded my cap directly to the car under the factory amp. Be sure to do lots of sanding for the best possible ground. Make sure NOT to use an iodized bolt or washer.

I grounded mine to the inside of the driver quarter panel at the back of the car, closest to where the hatch closes down right underneath the carpet.
