remote start I have a remote start/alarm on my 97 trans am it has worked fine until one day one of my headlight motors went out so i replaced it now when i hit the remote start it starts fine but both headlights come up and down until i put the car in gear it never used to do that any comments would be appreciated!

Check the wire that the alarm is tapped into for the parking light flash feature. Most remote starts flash the parking lights when the car is running from the remote start. Your headlights going up and down are probably corresponding to your alarm flashing the parking lights. It's not stopping because you put the car in gear, its stopping because you are hitting the brake and that deactivates the remote start and in turn stops the flashing of the parking lights. The best place to tap into the parking lights is the brown wire at the headlight switch. I would check there and also try cycling your parking lights on and off with out the remote start activated and see if you headlights jump up and down.
