I got some of the same components coming in the mail this week (head unit, Driver side stealth box and amp rack). I forgot the antenna extender though. Guess I am going to circuit city tomorrow.

Couple of quick questions
What is that PAC unit for?
Is that the extended amp rack? If so what is the width of the JL 300/4?

Keep us posted on the install.

Thanks
The PAC unit is to make the steering wheel controls work with the Alpine HU.
Yes, it is the extended amp rack. The 300/4 is 9.25" wide. I can tell you that the 3 amps barely fit on the rack. I went back and forth on whether to get the regular amp rack or the extended and I'm glad I went with the extended.

I was worried that the amp i chose would look awkward on the rack. From the pics i think i will be fine. The amp is W-9 5/8 L-20. It should fit nicely at the bottom. That will leave me with plenty of room for the crossovers and such.

Any idea if the rack will be a pain to remove if a tail light goes out? I haven't received mine yet and i have not been able to test fit it.

Not if you mount it according to the Subthump instructions - you'll get the link to the instructions with the rack.

Yup, You need to leave enough cable to remove the rack and follow the instructions and then it will be easy to replace the bulbs when you need to.

The final pieces to the puzzle arrived today. After much soul searching I decided that the new Infinity Kappa's had to go as they were most certainly the weak link in my new system even though they are decent speakers. I just found them a bit bright for my tastes. Here are the replacements....4 Focal 165CV1's...

We are about 1/2 way done the sound deadening and in about 2-3 weeks the new monster system starts going in....Stay tuned.

Thanks! I will snap some pictures of the sound deadening on Saturday and post them. I'm a little more than 1/2 done the sound deadening. I plan on adding 2 to 3 layers around the transmission tunnel and in the rear where the 2 subs will be. I just don't want too much so the carpet does not go back in right.

Here are some pictures of the sound deadening install...Not 100% complete yet. About 75% complete.

This is a tedious job and so far I've worked on this for about 12 hours in total and I had a buddy helping each time. I figure it will still take another 4-6 hours to complete. At this point it looks like the car will not be 100% completed and back together before Christmas.

Any guess on how much that eDead adds to the weight?

I figure I'll add about 25 lbs in total from the eDead but I'm also adding about 25 lbs worth of amps and subs but losing the spare and jack weight. My car is no a drag racer and never will be so the extra weight really does not bother me. If I had a car running 10's I might be worried.
