Affirmative, a good ground is the seat belt bolt.

That's where mine is, get a screwdriver out and scuff the metal. The coating is blocking the flow of power, lol.

make sure your rca cable isn't ran next to your power cable. i had the same thing. i changed the ground, and moved the rca cable to the center of the car, that helped a lot, but then i added the ground loop isolator, and it went away completely.

I have no noise in my stereo, static, whine or otherwise. No ground loop isolators, no direct to battery power feeds for the HU, etc..

sgt0704 is correct above about having your rca's not near your power wires.

What you need to determine is if the noise is being induced at the HU level or at the amp level.

The easiest way to do this without tearing anything apart is to use a ipod or similar as your source, plug that in directly to the amp in the back.

If you have no noise with the engine running then you know it's between the HU (included rca's) and the amp. If noise is present then check where you have your power cable run.

I have mine entering from the grommet near the pcm, and along the passenger door sill.

The rca's are along the hump on the driver side.

If the noise is at the HU, then you need to determine if its being picked up by the Hu or rca's. PLug your ipod into the rca's at the HU and see what happens.

I really don't buy the whole bad grounds thing. I'm using the factory wires for my power, gnd and memory feeds. Of course, this assumes a proper installation. Any painted surfaces with attached wires was sanded down to bare metal before installation, properly crimped, or better yet soldered terminals, etc.

Do some more testing to determine the source....
