short version of story.
On my 00' C5 the altenator voltage reg took a dump, and in the process it burnt the fusible link in my altenator wire which runs to the battery lug on the starter solenoid. the fusible link was right at the starter solenoid battery lug.
I've had recomendations to replace the fusible link wire, and recomendations to switch to a maxi fuse setup.
The fusible link I had was toasted pretty bad, can't get a read on how long the actual pice was, or the actual guage of the fusible link wire. I'm leaning toward a maxi fuse setup.
My altenator ( now fixed) is a stock 110a unit. I don't run any heavy amps atc... just my Nitrous equipment.
What type of setup would YOU replace it with, and why?
What amp fuse setup would you use if you chose to go with a maxi fuse?
Thanks
Larry
