All lights dimming, can't find problem

I've recently noticed that when I'm driving at night all of my lights pulse. Stock headunit, headlights, steering wheel, interior. Everything. I have no idea what in the world is causing this problem. The pulse is also quite quick, 2-3 pulses a second, and its also constantly pulsing.

I have another issue that if I tap the gas and let off after I'm crusing and in 2nd gear my voltage drops to 12v and stays there till I tap the gas again.

I did a quick search and came up with a lot of aftermarket stereo and "should I get a cap" threads. If this has already been answered before could you point me in the right direction? Any help would be appreciated. All of my grounds seem to be good from what I've found as well.

Edit: Changed my search around some and found out that it could be the voltage regulator in the alt. So is this my problem?

go and get the alternator checked it may be starting to head out.

thats my guess also. pull it off and take it to advanced or somewhere. they should beable to test it and tell if if you need a new one. more then likely so though

Mine was doing that much of the summer. I still was running the original Delco battery and changed it out for a Duralast battery form Autozone. After that no more flickering lights.

if you have a high powereed system you would need a cap but all the light would be doing it i think you said it was just your hu lights and sterring i work for advance if you get some on likre me who know wat to look for when testng we can do it on the car

Mine was doing that, switched the battery and alternator and it was fixed. Didn't know which was causing the problem but both were on the way out.
