Kind of liking asking "what car should I buy" We need more details such as budget, type of music you listen to etc..Most people here like either the Alpine 6.5" (Can't remember the model) or the Infinity Kappa 62.7i's. The Infinity's are nice as they come ready to be bi wired just like the factory speakers. I think you need to modify the Alpines. See the sticky's at the top of the Stereo section for detailed information.

Of course most people will like (be biased towards) those because you can go to a store like Mediocre Buy and get them. Not that they are bad, as they are better than stock indeed.

And yes, more info needed...

If you can afford them, Focal and Diamond make great 6.5's.

I had the Infinity's for 2 weeks and did not care for them. Too bright to me. I just bought 4 Focal 165-CV1's. I've always liked the sound of the Focal drivers. Those aren't cheap though.

i mostly listen to 80s-90s rock. just looking for an upgrade to the stock speakers. i'm not an audio guy, just looking for something that is better sounding than the stock ones.

price range would be whatever as long as its reasonable.

MB Quart maybe? Not expensive on Ebay, and definitely better than Alpine. Though their sensitivity is generally a bit lower than some other brands...
