What fitting are you using on the end of it? Try the side fitting ones...

Go to Photobucket or somethign like that, you need to hosty our pictures at a hosting website like that then copy and paste the img file over here.

You need to try using the side fitting connectors. They will fit at a right angle to the back of the gauge as opposed to fitting straight back.

It will be better if I give you a quick tutorial on posting pictures

If the pic is on your computer, go to an easy picture hosting service like http://www.tinypic.com

Click on browse to find the picture on your computer. Once that is done click on upload then copy the link in the bottom dialog box by left clicking once and then right click and choose copy. Save the link and post it in a message like this: http://i15.tinypic.com/34ffxvq.jpg

As you or anyone clicks on that link they will see the picture stored on tinypic.com. Alternately you can choose the little yellow picture icon and paste the link into the url box. Your picture will then be displayed in the message rather than having a link.

Hope this helps.

*note* these are not hooked up. so there is no wire or connector goin to them.
I believe it may be the back bolts keeping them from goin in all the way....
also Thank you for helping me put pics on here....ya'll are great.

I've never had to use the bolts to hold the guages in, both in my WS6 and Mustang. How hard are you pushing on them? It should be a tight fit.

Have you tried to "twist" them in? Now that you mentioned the bolts being in the way, I remember I could only get them on one of the guages, I believe the bottom pod. But maybe try taking a razor blade or some sandpaper and slowly open the pods up.

You're just gonna have to push harder, the hole is a tad smaller than the gauge itself ensuring a tight fit, just give it a good push, you won't damage anythign.

I think you are gonna have to cut the bolts... Anyone else have to do that? I couldnt get mine in either. I had to take the dremel to the bolts on the back. Then they slid right in. You dont need them anyway its an interference fit.

If they feel alittle loose to ya, just put a couple little dabs of light duty glue on there. Just enough to hold it, but not too much that you cant pull it back out again. Just alittle dab'll do ya!

Yeah autometer really should try to find a way to make those sort of like screw in studs... Because if you are using the gauge in a "slip fit" application like a gauge pod, you really dont need them, and they just get in the way.

I dont know if it actually can cause any issues...but I tried not to get the studs too hot while cutting them. I used a dremel on my gauges in my TA...but in my Jeep I used a very fine hacksaw blade. I just wasnt sure if the vibes from the dremel would screw with the internals of the gauge.

Either way that should fix up your problem just fine!!

What gauge pod...what type/style gauges???

It will be pretty obvious what is keeping those guages from seating all the way. In my case, both my TA and my Jeep it was the studs. He's gotta check behind the pod and make sure thats whats keeping them out. But without any fittings attached its the only thing I can think of.
