Default push start starter help

Alright i looked in the search but nothing good. Now i installed my push start but i noticed that i bet that If I push it while the engine is running it will whine out the starter. And i have installed one of these in a 2003 dodge and it has a box in it that when u turn the key fowards when already started it just clicks, and apon installing the push start it also just clicked. So what is special in the dodge that i can make so i can make mine trans am so that the push start will not continue to start if I push it again?

thanks

Assuming you wired your push button properly, the starter won't engage unless the clutch is depressed (M6) or the transmission is in Park or Neutral (A4) so the chances of doing it accidentally should be fairly slim.

I have a push button starter hooked up to my 2000 z28. The actual button is on the shift **** so I had to think of a way to keep from accidentally pressing the button. What I decided to do is hook it up through a toggle switch; therefore, the switch must be engaged to start and when it is not engaged the button is pointless. It works perfectly. If you are interested in this just write and I will try to give you as good of instructions as possible. It is very easy though.
