which one is better? i can get a discount on the Cobra so i'm kind of leaning towards that one.

definately the v1, but wheres the escort passport 8500??? thats one of the best too, or the bel rx65?? there all top notch...

i really like the V1 but i figured since i get cobra stuff 10% off i'd go with the best one we have in stock, i'll look into the others

the V1 is the best radar detector you can buy. so if you get that, you know it works better than any other one you could've got. but they are quite expensive. I also heard Escorts are really nice too. Also Beltronics (Bel). I've got a Bel 985 I bought used off ebay for about $160 (originally $300 detector) and it works really good.

Bel RX 65 here.......it's the best detector i've ever owned

It never gives off any false alarm unlike others & also detects the next generation upgraded radar that might come to the U.S. real soon, the others don't.

i wouldn't go Cobra. They've been known for false advertisement and false readouts, as well. Not the best ones out there... The V1 is good, but in recent reports, it's getting to be outclassed by the newer models. The Escort Passport 8500 X50 or Bel RX65 (same company, so basically the same thing, except for Bel's new frequency) are top notch as far as stick-ons.
