Quick question on speaker size.
Quick question on speaker size. 02 Camaro Monsoon - want to look into new speakers.
Yeah I know it's a dead horse but while I'm looking into them, would someone confirm for me the sizes?
Crutchfield seems to be a good tool for research but I wouldn't buy from them.
They say this:
Front speakers
Front Door : 6-3/4"
Far rear speakers
Back Panel : 4" factory speaker note -- behind seats, under hatch
Rear Seat Side Panels : 6-3/4" -- sail panel
Now where they're saying 6&3/4" I thought replacement sizes were 6.5" or at least that's the only size I've read for swapping speakers.

Those sizes are correct - or at least close. The doors and sail panels are actually 6.5S (oversized 6.5") but 6.75" will fit fine. You will find most replacement speakers are listed as 6.5/6.75" (will fit either).

They're right as said. The rear-rear are 4" Mids with like 1" tweeter. I just did my 4" and replaced it with 4.25 2-ways. Had to cut plastic but love the sound.
