people are wrong about monsoon!! everyone tried telling me that the door speakers on the monsoon system are dual voice coil...very untrue! they are component speakers built into on unit. yes there are two sets of wires goin into the speaker but one controls the midrange and the other set controls a tweeter that is mounted to the speaker...no wonder everyone has so much trouble figuring out how to make it work right, they were looking at it wrong. each set of wires are sending a different signal. i figured this out today and just wanted to share

I don't know who told you the door speakers are DVC but I'm glad you figured out that they're components. The only DVC speakers in a Monsoon system are the sail panel subs in Firebirds (they're SVC in Camaros). There's lots more information in the Monsoon FAQ thread at the top of the forum.
