Default Monsoon amp ?

ok my car has the monsoon HU. bought the the car and it had been wrecked in the back. has the bracket for the amp but no amp. if i buy an monsoon amp and plug it in is that all i have to do or did the amp get bypassed to make it work. i want to put the monsoon amp it but im not sure what all is required to do it.

Check that your door panel has the UZ7 (Monsoon) option code listed. I would be very surprised that someone would go to the trouble of completely rewiring the audio system rather than replace a damaged amp after a collision. I suppose it's possible that they used the jumper method of bypassing the missing amp at the connector but you would see that. It's more likely that the car didn't have Monsoon to start with. Even if your head unit has a Monsoon label on it that doesn't really mean anything because the Monsoon head unit is just an ordinary Delco radio so it may have been replaced by the previous owner.

got a Monsoon Amp here for sale if you need bought it thinking there was a problem with mine & it was the second pair of front speakers i bought that were faulty cost me about £80 ($170)

doesnt have the code. must have been replaced with another HU. thanks for the help guys.
