fog light

any one know what part # for bulb on my right side fog light ? Also how do i remove the housing my old bulb melted onto the housing and when I went to remove the bulb the tip stayed on the housing only got the connecter.

my Sylvania package says #880...this is the correct bulb..my right side had gone out a couple weeks ago...just bought a spare for next time.

The stock bulbs are 880. Sylvania also makes a SilverStar version (880ST), but they blow too quickly (which sucks considering they are $20 each). You can install a higher wattage 893/894 bulb (37watt), but it will eventually melt the housing (I know from experience). Another alternative is to replace the fog light housings with aftermarket units using H3 bulbs (like I did). My original housings kept filling with water which blew bulbs and turned the silver reflector blotchy black.

Under the nose there is a flap on either side to allow access to change the fog light bulbs. If you look up in there you can see the three bolts that hold in the fog light housing. The bolts tend to get rusty so use some penetrating fluid and be careful with the force you use so as not to damage the nose. One of my bolts sheared off (you can see it in the pics on my site), but the other two still hold well enough. Once the bolts are removed, pull the fog light housing out from the front.
