Idiot check on vert speakers
Front doors: Infinity Kappa 652.7i
Rears: Infinity Kappa 62.7i
Checking these will work with the stock Monsoon system as a plug-and-play. Biggest concerns are if the rears will clear the top and if they (fronts and rears) support the bi-amping with the Monsoon system.
This is prob the only upgrade to the stereo I intned to do for a while. I intend to stick with the stock Monsoon system for some time, but the fronts have crapped out and buzz/rattle like crazy.
Thanks!

In the rear, it will be very close, but you should plan on using a spacer. The top mechanism has a good bit of lateral sway in it, so it might clear on level ground and then you go lower the top on an odd slant and bam. You are wanting a good half inch of clearance to the top metals which I am pretty sure (been awhile) will need a spacer. Longer screws are part of the plan as well but they cant be too long or they can also damage the top.
Finally, realize you'll gain no bass at all by doing the backs. You'll get much better sound from them in terms of treble and midrange, but no bass. Can't get bass from the backs, the way they are mounted.
Shore up your door grilles and use some shoddy, felt, something to help with door panel/grill buzzing while you have it all apart.
You confirmed what I thought was the case with the rear 'vert speakers- they are generally ballast. Since they are mounted free-air and seem to give little additional sound (if I understand correctly), would you suggest a less expensive rear option that would compliment the 652.7i's in the front?
Thanks!
