Amp Dead? and Orion 2150SX Question
I'm trying to hook up an old skool 4 channel Alphasonik amp to run my front speakers until I can get something a little better.
The amp worked fine the last time it was installed, but now when I connect the 12V battery cable to the amp and use a test light on the ground wire coming out of the amp, it's showing as having power. The same thing happens if I probe the remote turn on write from the amp. If I attach the ground wire to a good ground on the car, I can hear it starting to hiss as if it's heating up and possibly going to pop.
Does this sound the amp is toast? That's what I'm leaning towards but I don't want to throw this thing out if it's an easy fix.
Also, anyone have an Orion 2150 SX amp? I need to know which pins are which since I'm missing the wire harness. Thanks
