IPOD/HU Compatability ?

IPOD/HU Compatability ? How do I know if I can hook up my IPOD to the inputs in the back of my head unit? I have a pioneer head unit that is a couple years old(DEH-P6500) that has inputs in the back(2 sets of red/white females). If I can hook it up what cord would I need. Sorry but I know nothing when it comes to stereos.

the 2 sets of inputs are RCA connectors, for amplifiers. the best thing to do is e-mail or call Pioneer and find out if ur HU is compatible with any type of iPod interface adaptors. Or go to ur local GOOD stereo shop (not best buy or another big company, try a locally owned shop...that are well known and mainly sell Pioneer) and ask them, they would know.
I have a 2 yr old Alpine that is XM/Sirius compatible and also iPod compatible but it was the 2nd from the top of the line back then.
