Here is a pic of my Raptor. I mounted it high on the pillar with plans to put a double gauge pod underneath. I wanted mine to be eye level. Two different threads here that will help you.

3 wire hookup. + , - , and Pin #10 right out of the lower (red) connector on the PCM. (1999 - 2002) It's a white wire that will be tapped and go to the tach signal on your tach/shift light.

Only one wire goes into the engine bay, the tach lead. There is a grommet on the passenger side firewall behind the PCM. You'll have to remove the PCM to get to it. Drop the kick panel on the passenger side floorboard and you're golden.

Both the power and ground will be inside your car. I tapped the pink wire from my TCS switch near my shifter. You can also tap into the fuse box on the drivers side of your dash. There are three smaller slots on the fuse panel, marked ACC, IGN, BATT. The Ignition will be fine, since you only want power going to the shift light when the ignition is on.

Good luck.

I just installed mine last week. I ran all 3 wires to the pcm and wired them in there instead of tearing out interior panels. I also put light in the defroster vent in the pillar with $.89 grommet. Simple and quite noticeable ( I got the blue LED). Got all my info from forum so, you should have no problem.

I don't have pictures right now (at work) but I popped the cigarette lighter out and mounted my Raptor there. Using the little vinyl grommet that comes with it, it fits the hole where the lighter was perfectly. The only time I can't see it is when I'm driving into direct sunlight, but at any other time, even on sunny days with the tops off, I can see it fine.

Took these with my old cell phone over a year ago. The Raptor shift-lite has been one of the most funtional mods yet. I couldnt do without after having one.
