whats the part number on that clarion? how long you had it?

also ive realised on a few screens i checked out locally, some of them you have to press hard to get the touchscreen to work...some touch easily..id rather one thats less sensetive(sp) so you dont have to break it trying to make the touchscreen work

The Part number is as pictured on the unit, VRX935VD. I have had my unit about 3 years now with no issues. Still works great. I know there is a newer model of this unit now available, but not sure on the part number. Clarion.com should have some info.

I think you mean more sensitive.
More Sensitive = Lighter Touch
Less Sensitive = Heavier Touch

Do you know what they had to do to get the double din to fit into the din and a half opening?

I can't speak for all units, but I know with Clarion it is very sensitive. Some times I will accidentaly brush it with my hand or something and the screen will change. Pisses me off sometimes!!! Also with the Clarion, it will automatically dim or brighten the display based on the amount of light it senses. In the dark, I can turn the lights on the mirror on and off and you can watch the screen self-adjust. nice feature.
