anyone with battery trouble in winter?

Does anyone have trouble keeping their battery charged during winter storage. I have no problems in the summer but during the cold months i cant keep a charge. I keep the car in my garage but like to start it up and get it up to temp once a week or so. After about 6 days theres enough juice for the interior lights etc...but not enough to crank the starter enough to start. Then today i go out after about 2 weeks and the battery is complety dead

. I have a battery charger but it doesnt seem right to have to charge it so often.
The only electrical upgrades to the car are a SLP fan switch, and some gauges (none of which should matter). Bad battery maybe?...this would be the second one with this problem. Any help would be appriciated.

Get a free load test done on the battery - it if checks good I'd get a battery tender.

Battery Tender (trickle charger) is a must for extended storage - especially if it is regular style battery.

I have an Optima which are very good at holding their charge for extended periods - but I still use a tender whenever the car is is the garage - not only during winter storage, but all year round in between driving the car.
