Quiet sub..(?)
I just installed a 11kv.2 in D2 in a stealth box in my camaro, powered by a 350W 4 channel amp. I'm using a bridged connection of two channels to power the sub at 175W.
I wire in the sub, turn the stereo on, and it works, but it's very quiet, and only audible if i turn the gain up on the amp all the way. With all the controls up, it's still extremely quiet, and doesn't seem to be adjusted by the HU volume control. (No matter how loud it is, the sub is the same low volume.) I have RCAs into the rear outputs of my deck (sony) to the kicker amp.
Ideas?
>>>
Yes, Try turning all the gains and volumes down some.
Try another regular full range speaker in place maybe slowl work the gains until you can verify it is a speaker problem and not an amp wiring to mono issure...

I'll try this tomorrow, I'm going to finish the wiring to have my rear speakers running off the remaining channels, haven't had a chance to hook it up.
Thanks

So assuming he has the voice coils wired in series....then he should be fine.
I had the ground hooked up to the rear left seatbelt bolt, and it wasn't working for crap, though i'm sure it's a great ground. I unhooked it, tried it somewhere else, then went back to the seatbelt bolt, and it decided to work fine now.
