Jl 10w3v2 Hey guys, I picked up a stealth box and an MTX amp last night. I forgot the model of the amp, but its a mono amp rated at 300 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. It actually tested out at 345 watts RMS @ 2 ohms. I'm thinking about getting a JL 10W3V2. If I can get it for $145 shipped brand new, do you think thats a good deal, or do you think there is a better deal on a different sub out there?

Well, I would like to be in the middle but if I had to lean towards one side I guess I'd say SQ. I listen to both rock and rap, but usually more rock than anything and I'm guessing that a cleaner sound would be a lot better with rock? Maybe I'm way off base, I'm pretty new to all of this.

Yehh u would be lookin for more of a punchy type bass for ur preference...the w3 would be a nice choice in a nice smaller sealed box...should get nice and tight...for those drum solos

U can get a W3 for that exact application if your willing to spend 145. The only sub that would be it's competitor off the top of my head would be this:

SQ on the ID is up to par with the JL, its all a matter of preference, but i'd get the Image Dynamics. It can handle a bit more too.
