Default Gauge lights and inst. panel lights went out last night

Last night I am driving home and the lights in my gauge cluster and the lights in the instrument panel all went out. What would cause this? I checked the fuses inside the car and didn't see anything. I haven't checked under the hood yet. Thoughts???

GAUGES fuse OK? Are they still out or did they just flicker off and on for a couple seconds?

They went out and stayed out. Never flickered or anything.

If it's just the dash illumination then replace your IP DIMMER fuse. If it's the dash and your exterior running lights then replace the TAIL LPS fuse (which feeds the IP DIMMER fuse as well as the running lights). Never just look at a fuse because it can look fine but still be blown. Always either test with a fuse tester or replace with a known good fuse.

I have a problem with the left half of my speedometer being dimmer than the rest of the gauge cluster. I pulled it out and reconnected it. This fixed it temporarily as it keeps going out. I dont know what to do. Maybe there is a bulb out in the cluster.
