Default Speaker question

Hey, i recently installed the kenwood kdc-x990 and 4 alpine type-R speakers. I have a 98 v6 bird with no monsoon. I love the head unit and the type-R's sound great with a cd but a little fuzzy with the radio. I dont have a speaker amp or sub yet cuz of lack of money. I dont think any of the speakers are blown because they sound perfect with a cd. Do you think they need the full 50 watts rms to sound perfect with the radio too, or is it just because radio is never as clear as cd. The only reason im worried is because i'm pretty sure my stock speakers sounded better with the radio lol.

No, power is unrelated. Perhaps that Kenwood just doesn't have a very good tuner.

Radio signal is typically pretty shitty. I disconnected the antenna in my car becuase I patently refuse to listen to anything on the radio but C-SPAN.

I don't think anyone's expecting it to sound as good as CD... (excluding satellite radio, if I paid for it, it'd better damn well sound just about as good as CD.)
