need to tap into the courtesy circuit where to find ?

Default need to tap into the courtesy circuit where to find ?

i wanna add a light that comes on and off when you open the doors. i guess you can call it the courtesy circuit. is there a spot to tap into on the passenger side ? i know it has a constant hot and only a ground when in courtesy mode. thanks

The wires you need at available at the BCM. The power feed (which is battery constant anyway) is the dark blue with white stripe wire in the BCM's 6-pin black connector. The variable ground (that provides the theater dimming effect) is the white wire in the blue 32-pin connector. It's the only all-white wire and it's in the first position of one row.

thatnks for the info but not sure where is this connector located ? i noticed these 2 connectors on the pass side

Not those. The Body Control Module (BCM) is a black box about the size of a paperback book mounted to the heating duct under the dash behind the glovebox. It has three connectors plugged into it - a green 6-pin, a black 6-pin, and a blue 32-pin.

ok thanks, i will take another look. the blue connector in pic2 is under the glove box with a white in the 1st slot so i thought that might be it
