Question Does the push button give constant +12V or a pulse?

I'm looking at the S2000 engine start circuit. When that start button gets pushed does the button provide constant +12V and then the relay starts providing that constant +12V to the starter? Or is it like a pulse just to crank the starter? Thanks in advance.

If you wire it correctly, it would be constant as long as you push the button

So the starter keeps getting constant +12V even after it starts the car? Or do I hold that start button until the car starts and the second I let go of the button it stops providing the +12V?

The button completes the circuit as long as you hold it down. So it works just like the start position of your ignition switch - hold it until the car starts then let go.
