Default steering wheel buttons aftermarket cdplayer

Is it possible to get the steering wheel buttons to work with a aftermarket cdplayer?
I went to one audio shop and they said yes if the cdplayer could use a remote
and it would cost a **** ton.

PAX makes an module that adaptes the steering wheel controls to an aftermarket headunit. The aftermarket headunit has to have a remote control for the PAX to work.

I don't believe it cost a ton of money to do either.

I said they do. I did not want to post a link that is not a sponsor. That's why I said to google them to get to the pac audio site.

If your headunit has wired remote input, you can use a PAC SWI-?. (The ? is to denote the manufacturer-specific unit. Example: PAC SWI-PS works with Pioneer and Sony.)

If your headunit does not have a wired remote input but it does have and IR remote, then you can use the PAC SWI-X. Its the universal IR steering wheel adapter.

Don't worry about it. It happens to the best of us. It's a good thing that we all look out for one another .
