I just installed a pair of CDT AUDIO M6's and they sound great.....
They are a true midbass/sub designed for IB use. Bad thing is that they are only a SVC 4ohm driver

otherwise Elemental Designs make a 7Kv.2 that is cheaper and will work.

JL's 6w0's work as well... and are true mid subs. They'll need more power than the factory system though. You can get a pair for around $150 new if you can find them.

I know "someone" that has a pair "N"IB that was only test fitted then went a diffrent route because they didn't want to have to d an amp just for the mid-subs

I'm not one here too much any more but if you want info just "email" me not PM as I may not get it for months LOL

being a Camaro, you have several options as mentioned because you can run SVC subs no problem as well -- I installed eu700's in my brother's car and he loves them, but if you are looking more for midbass fill -- they are NOT for you.

The ED subs require you to either cut the inside ofthe sail panel out to make room for the magnet or make a mdf spacer that mounts the sub further out. You have a choice but one or the other is neccessary. Nice sub though!! So sgt. is right either way your gonna have to mod unless you go with a traditional midbass. I used CDT CL-6. Great mid bass for around $80.00. Fits in stock opening. There are a few others as well.

don't know why not, they are sensitive enough that's for sure. I personally feel that they are a much better choice than those 7Kv.2's that I had before my M6's.

Off the Monsoon amp or HU itself? I would not just power them off of the HU alone - simply nowhere near enough power to have them perform well. Though they are efficient, they are still under 90dB and it just wouldn't be worth it off of a HU alone.
