Default Shift Light Help!!!!!!

Hey People I Bought A Pro-form Shift Light Which Has The Red Power Wire, the Black Ground Wire, The Green Tach Rpm Wire, And A Brown And Orange Wire That Loop From The Shift Light To The Base Of The Shift Light For 4-6 Cylinders.

Well I Got The Power And Ground Wires Connected I Am Having Trouble Connecting The Green Main Rpm Wire .. I Read Instructions But It Does Not Seem To Work.. It Says That I Should Hook It Up On A White Wire In The Passenger Side Firewall But Nothing Happens..

The Orange And Brown Wires It Says That They Are Used On 4 And 6 Cylinders And Not On 99+ Ls1's .

What Would I Have To Do Now , I Called Pro Form Company And They Said To Connect The Green Wire To The White 10th Pin On The Wiring In The Harness Of Computer And To Snip The Brown And Orange Wires So That The Shift Light Would Calibrate.

What Should I Do Now?? Would Appreciate A Respond Thanx Everyone

I am having this SAME damn problem with the SAME shift light!!! See https://ls1tech.com/forums/wiring-stereo-electronics/687559-major-shift-light-issues.html

I've done everything, snipped the brown & orange wires, and connected the green to the 10th pin. Since I am not the only person with this problem, maybe there was a bad batch of shift lights???

You shift light has to be set in 4 cylinder mode. I'm kinda perplexed about the brown and orange wire you're talking about. My Raptor has 3 wire hookup. Power, Ground and Tach. Cylinder select is on the light itself. Hook it up as if you were doing 4 cyls.

I've now done all of this, but it still doesn't work. I used a multimeter to check my ground and power wires, and connected to the #10 white wire. I am totally stumped, this isn't supposed to happen to someone capable of installing a cam

Freddyrdzls1, how did you splice your wires? Did you crimp or solder? This POS still isnt working, and I've done everything you did...The store I bought it from says they won't take it back if I "install it myself"

Default re shift light

sorry for the super late response but on the wires, i just cut both loops so they would not make contact... make sure your ground, and power are working... sounds weird but yeah cut the both wires so that they do not make contact the only ones connected will be the green, power and ground.
oh yeah once you cut them, try all 3 or 4 white wires in the firewall fender well ... i tried all of them untill finally the shift light turned on .... let me know whats up ..
