Sort of...it's actually Retained Accessory Power (RAP) rather than straight ignition switched. It remains hot after the ignition is switched off for about 10 minutes or until you open a door - just like the radio.

Now what I was gonna do is use that wire to power my sub when the radio is on. Would that be alright?

I assume you mean as the amp turn-on signal not as a power source. If you meant power source then forget it - run a separate power supply wire. If you just want a turn-on signal for the amp there are better choices. On a factory head unit use the power antenna lead (pink wire). On an aftermarket head unit use the supplied turn-on wire - most quality head units have one specifically for that purpose.
Actually, I am wanting to use that wire as a power source for the sub. Right now I have it wired into the fuse panel on the driver side to get power as the key is turned forward, but now Im wanting to use that IGN spot as a switched 12v source for my nitrous plate. I don't have anything in the ACCY spot on the fuse panel either. I looked with a mirror
Any thoughts on where I could get a good, 12v switched power from?
