How does the Fi Q10 compare to the TC1000? I found one for about $20 more than the TC1000.

Fi is all the rave right now... I don't have an opinion of them yet. I'm sure you found it talking to the guys at caraudio.com. Fi just started up a few months and they're the "boner" over there right now. 98% of threads asking about subwoofers have people recommending Fi just because they're all on the bandwagon.

I'm not saying Fi doesn't make a good product, I'm just saying its hard to get any type of fair comparison right now being that people are so hung up on Fi being awesome without actually having any experience with the product.

If I were you, I'd remember one thing... your budget started at $120. Then it went up to $160. Now you're considering moving it up to $180... at some point you have to stop and realize you're spending more than you should. I'm also not a fan of used speakers. A lot of people buy/sell equipment online all the time, I've even sold speakers. I don't like buying used speakers online because I want to know how a speaker was treated before I buy it... some people might abuse the hell out of a sub and say "lightly used for 2 hours" or something. I just don't trust people. It is much safer to buy a speaker new so you know it hasn't been abused or damaged.

With that being said... its your call. If you want to go used, I think you'd be happy with the Q, although I havn't heard one before. Most of the reviews are positive, but like I said, pretty much everything is positive about Fi right now because they just came out and everyone is on the bandwagon

I understand what you are saying about used subwoofers and I am stopped at $180 and know that what I am spending a crazy *** amount of money on this single 10 and it is half of what I spent on my 2 15's and Box. I am not to worried about the 10" being used because they guy has had nothing, but positive feedback with his sales and the fact my 15's where used also, but I got them from a friend and knew their history so I wasn't so worried about it. I just figure that later on down the road I really wont lose much if I don't like the 10Q bc I will just let my dad put it in his car since it needs some bass and reading this guys review on the sub made me feel a lot better about the 10Q's sound and power handing abilities. The real thing is how it sounds when it is all said and done.

Fixed

If you are fine with spending the $180, then go for it. Get the dual 2 ohm version and let that amp go to work

It's not going to have the same internal volume as the palstic style stealth boxes. they don't even list the volume for the box but it can't be too much. Be sure the sub will perform with that small of a box.

There's probably quite a few folks on here with one in their garage or sitting around they aren't using any more (I've got one myself). I haven't decided whether or not to sell it yet or not. I'm heading to Korea and sold my TA for the time being and "plan" on getting another F-Body once I get retired from the military in +/- 4 years.

Well if you want to sell it, I will give you $90 shipped for it.
