how did they install it? did you get your car back just like this? does someone make a kit to put in camaros? or is this a custom install? did you fabricate anything here?

OK....I'm confused -- you made it seem like you did the installation yourself and put all this time into the trim, etc. etc....but you didn't? What did YOU do besides hand over the cash?

regardless of what people say, $1500, IMO, is not bad at all.

The cheapest I see it for is $950 with a 1 year warranty, list price is $1400....right there, the fact that you bought from CC and didn't pay more than $1000 makes it a good deal. The 4-year protection plan could end up being priceless. Antenna adapter/harness/etc....who cares, thats all about $15 anyway...

Also....I want one.

If CC did that install for $250 when I see other's being charge 3x that and more for similar installs.......and for them not to f*** anything up and make it look good......kinda hard to believe actually!

ok lets clear things up here..the radio trim was all me, i sat there and trimmed away and sanded away hours of my time... circuit city didnt install it for me, they actually said they couldnt do it....y i have no idea.i went to a local shop and they wanted $1000 to install it, i told them they were nutts. so i went to another local shop and they installed it for me for $225..lets see..$1000 vs $225..thats a no brainer.but regardless, i think it looks pretty damn good imo

OK yea I thought you did trim since you mentioned sanding before, etc......but what did they do then that you couldn't do (just securing/mounting it?)??? Seems like you could've easily done it all yourself with your patience/skill.

I think you are misunderstanding me - I had no idea it was your first time, and had no idea it was the wiring (it just seemed like you had been through all this before and I was asking more for MY knowledge if mounting was tricky because I have no DDin experience in these cars). I would have never guessed you had no prior experience and just went straight for the double din -- damn, way to go all out and do it right the first time!!!

Yeah, I wish I would have known Double DIN's could be done... I got an in-dash motorized flip out that I will be selling to go Double DIN.

You hardly EVER use motorized flip outs so you end up with this bad *** flip out screen that just looks cheap as hell most of the time since most of the time it is NOT out and you are left with just some buttons and an LED clock that stick out a foot

TO “ HIZPANICGUY21”

When you say “molding” your talking about the factory molding around the ac, and your old radio (is this what you had to sand)? If not please explain. I’m new to interior & radio stuff.

And 1 more question, I never saw the interior of a stock camaro before and wanted to know did the SS and Trans am use the same radio system, if they do can I use this unit with the TA? (If it can fit I’m definitely getting one)!!!

Again, you have the best system I’ve seen!!

Thank you 4 your help!!!!
