Default Mounting locations of V1?

Just got my V1 in and was thinking of a few mounting locations and was wondering where everyone had theirs mounted. Temperarly ive just got it suction cuped right below the rear view mirror but that seems odd. Anyone have any pics or can describe where they mounted theres so the rear detector also gets used? I may just say oh well and mount it where the rear detector is unused since i have 5% tint, dont know how well it can see out the back glass as is.

I put mine up on the headliner:

Tough to tell it is even there, and still works great front and rear.

I have a convertible and I JB-Weld-ed the spring-clip to
the windshield below the rear view mirror (used weatherstrip
cement first but it failed after a year or so). I bent the clip
to get the V1 to hang level as mounted and I added a block
of foam shaped to fit, to damp the vibrations that made it
wiggle around. I did make sure to keep the position so the
IR detector for rear laser had a clear view rearward.

Heh, i was wondering why i didnt think about that Meent, so i went outside to clip it on and remembered my 5% tint about an inch below the ATSI line that could potentially block it. . And im not to fond of JBWelding something to my windshield. Maybe ill give a whirl at some velcro in place of the JBWeld.

I was worried that the stock tinting at the top of the windshield would affect it, but it doesn't seem to have mattered. I only have 35% on the sides and rear of my car...not sure how much 5% would block.

i have 5% tint all the way around and have mine mounted with suction cups to the left of the rear mirror. I have never had problem with it picking up rear detection even through the tint.
