760 watt sony amp??
I know the 1000 watt amps at wal mart run $128+
(Yes, i know sony isnt the best)
heres a couple pics

If you want that thing, no more than a couple Jacksons. Really.
the 12" sony xplode (1100 max power) is ~$70 from wal mart.. 2 of my friends had sony subs and they were decent..
a 12" pioneer from wal mart is only like $50 right now.. my other friend has a pioneer 10" in his trunk with a 400 watt amp and it hits pretty hard, maybe its the amp though
Amp makes or breaks the system? or is it the speakers
My nephew has 2 Sony amps and Sony 10" subs. He loves it, but then again, I designed the box and built it for him. He has the 1200w 2 channels on the subs and the 600w 4 channels on the highs. It sounds real good.
As stated above, Sony is not the greatest nor are they the worst. But if it was me, I would through a few more bucks into the pot and get something better. But that is just me.

Real friend pricing would be like $40. You can't base resale pricing on what someone else paid for it. That's what it is actually worth. He may be able to sell it off to someone for $75, but it's not worth that much.
I don't recommend Sony for amps or speakers, because they aren't are particularly good value, nor are they of particularly good quality or durable. Tons of people are perfectly happy with them, but no matter how you look at it (either value wise or performance wise) you can do better.
