Default how do i fix an antenna that rises half way up

The antenna on my 2002 Firehawk raises up half way. Do I need to replace the antenna or can I fix it to raise up completely like it use to?

Viagra?

It might be that you need a new antenna but I would try cleaning it first. It's not unusual for the shaft to get covered in grime and bind so that it won't move properly. You'll have to manually extend the antenna to its full height then clean with mineral spirits to see if that frees up the movement.

I read on here that WD40 works wonders on power antennas. Might want to try that too.
