any one know what the wattage is on a factory amp from a 98 ls1 camero

It's Camaro, not Camero.

The monsoon system is rated at 500W. Most people believe that is a max output so I would guess it does something around 250W RMS. It's not a bad amplifier all things considered... and the fact it can handle 8 speakers is decently impressive, imo.
