LED bulbs don't work?

LED bulbs don't work? I bought two LED bulbs for the taillights today and tried putting them in. As soon as i put in the second bulb, i insantly fried the fuse 
. I replaced one with the stock bulb and it didn't blow the fuse, but the blinker then wouldn't work. then i put both the stock ones back in and they work fine. Does anyone know why the LED bulbs make the fuse blow? please help!

Re: LED bulbs don't work? If it didn't blow the fuse on the first one, it's probably a bad bulb, I'd try taking back where you got it, or callin g them and telling them what happened.
Re: LED bulbs don't work? A lot of times with a low-quality LED, it will blow the fuse. Try an LED bulb that has at least 12 LEDs on it.
Also, with the flashers... you'll need to replace the stock thermal flashers with electronic flashers. They can be found at AutoZone for about $8 each, you need two. The part number you need is EL12. LED bulbs don't draw the power that stock bulbs do, and thus can't be controlled by the thermal flashers.

Re: LED bulbs don't work? If you bought the LED bulb from pepboys they will not work no matter what you do. I have yet to see these work for anyone... yet they say "chevy only", heh.

Re: LED bulbs don't work? i just changed all my turn signals bulbs to led bulbes because of heat issues with the clear corners. just like they all said, bulbes from apc or arc or whatever that say shevy only will not work. you need to get some good bulbs. i got mine from clearlight.com. they work well once you get the electronic flasher that was recommended above. oh yea the bulbes are directional, meaning that they only work in one position. you need to try them out before reassembling the light assembly to make sure that they work.
