Hardwiring my sirius tuner

Hardwiring my sirius tuner
I just bought a sirius reciever that should work with my Panasonic head unit - a built-in model, not a plug and play.
My question is, I have to wire it up for ground, pos, neg, and ACC. Would the best thing be to splice into the wiring harness going to my panasonic radio from the car? These wires aren't very long so I have no idea where they expect me to keep the tuner, either.
Where did everybody else mount their tuners for sirius or xm?

You can mount the tuner anywhere it will fit as long as it has at least a little air space to get rid of any heat. If you have a single-DIN head unit, there should be plenty of room above or below it for the tuner.
Those tuners don't draw a lot of power so you can tap into the same wires you used for the head unit to provide power and ground (BTW, "neg" and ground are the same thing).
