Default ALARM: DEI Sidewinder questions...

My car has this alarm but I have no owners manual and at the DEI website it seems their are several versions of the Sidewinder so my question is:

A) Where are the control units for these normally mounted so I can find mine and find the model number?

B) How well do these work overall?

Default

if by control unit, you mean the alarm brain, then it is most likely under the dash board. Just look at you main ignition harness, and follow the wires from there.

and they work well, they don't have all the options of say the 791, but are good for what they do.
