Default help!!

ok, so a couple of weeks ago my driver side head light strips the gear. so i disconnect the arm and the pull the rubber boot and manually turn the gear 180 degrees and reatacth the arm, all is good.
tonite the gear strips again so now i will order brass ones. now here's the weird part, when i lock or unlock my car with the key remote my head lights flip up and down and ofcourse the head light sounds like a machine gun.
i can fix the stripped gear, but why are my lights fliping up and down, please help!! thyank you for any advise

The odd headlight behavior is a result of the stripped gear. Its a common occurance.
