I have a had a gremlin in the radio eer since I bought my 2000 Formy...

It will randomly shut off while i'm driving. I'd look at it funny, and the then it would come back on antenna would roll back up... etc. The head unit was always screwing up the display and not giving me my disc's back... so I said screw it and bought a nice pioneer HU...


Now I all other problems are solved, other than the fact that it shuts off randomly while i'm driving. Any ideas...? I am hoping it is the motorized antenna... we replaced it with one form o'reilly's, but it didn't have a third wire (ground)

I hope it is not a short in the amp... as I am broke. any other places i should look?

 

Never mind... Looked around, and the problem, according to a few threads, is the a fault in the BCM or a loose wire in the bcm.
