Default Precision Power subs

Does anyone know or have the PPI PCX102's? Or any PPi subs? Do you like them? How do they sound?

Or would you choose the MTX T5500 series over the PPI's?

haha 1000 watt pioneers are junk as well. OMG a 2000 watts power acoustic...ew.

if you want decent subs look at image dynamics, eclipse, JL audio, or some of those smaller brands.

The new ones are manufactured and designed by DEI. The engineer that designed the original flat piston subs is no longer int he mix. The new ones will not be as good or reliable as the originals in no shape or form.

A little off topic. I remember a usac competition that I was in. The guy next to me had 10 15" ppi subs sharing one air space. For whatever reason one of the subs lost power and the cone was blown out of the basket. Let me tell ya, those speakers had a ton of fluid in them. It was all over the guys windshield & interior. I wonder how long it took to clean that mess up. But those were great subs. Back in the day, when ppi reps would go shop to shop in the hay-day of independent shops, they would carry around a 10" cone. They would say, "if you can break the cone with your hands, we'll give you a free speaker". I never saw anyone pull it off.

I actually like Power Acoustik amps. They aren't bad for the money, especially the Gothic series.

On the topic of liquid cooled subs Bazooka's Master P sub had that option. I never found it, but the sub was only $25 on clearance.
