anybody ever put in a CB
anybody ever put in a CB was wonderin if anybody has ever put in a cb in their f-body, me and a few buddies were just thinkin about this, and how handy it would come in, like races, cops, just for ***** and giggles. i was wonderin how the antenna would work out, don t really want a big ol wip flappin all over the place. was just curious thanks guy -matt

Re: anybody ever put in a CB Radio shack has a mobile phone style antenna. THe short one with the spiral in it. I thought it was to long so I used the actual mobile phone antenna and it worked great. You just run the wire from the CB to where the antenna is, stick the inside window part on the window, and then on the outside stick the antenna. Kind of hard to explain but if you go to radio shack, you will see. 10-4 big buddy?

Re: anybody ever put in a CB I thought about this is my old camaro. JC Whitney has this adapter that used your original car antenna as a CB antenna. That is what I was going to do. I don't know if they still have it or not.

Re: anybody ever put in a CB Ya dood I used mine on the highway all the time. SOmetimes it worked better then radar detector for finding cops. One time I was booking down the highway and I had this chick in my car and as I pass this one rig, he was like, "Check out the legs in the green car in the left lane." I grabbed the CB and was like whats up I heard that. Then the trucker started talking to me asking me if I had a radar dectector so I told him a V1 and he was like wtf! put the pedal to the metal and switches into the left lane and was riding my ***. There were times I was hitting 110 with this big rig on my ***, mainly when we were going downhill for the trucker to catch up speed But honestly, there were like 5 big rigs all behind me in the left lane. It was like they were drafting off of me. But when they heard news of a cop, they would let me know. Then when we were getting close to Madison, WI, there was about 10 miles of back up so the truckers were like Hey...if you want were gonna take a different way and you can follow us. We passed up the traffic and made awesome time.
My buddies and I also used them to talk to each other when we crusied around.
I would go with the radio antenna one because the radio shack antenna can get a little flimsy in the wind. My antenna was a lot shorter so I stuck with it. Happy CB talking.

Re: anybody ever put in a CB did ya ll run the antenna wire under the carpet from the back to the front (i was thinkin and if i remember right somebody makes a wire antenna that you can mount just about any where, like in the back or behind the back seat), and where exactly did ya ll put the cb itself, any suggestions on brands/models, thanks guy -matt
