Default Steering wheel swap Questions (99 Camaro to Newer Wheel)

I currently have the old style camaro wheel in my car. I am looking to put the newer wheel in it for the steering wheel controls. I already have the signal conversion for my radio since it is not stock. My question is what should I tap into for a switched power source for the steering wheel controls. I have noticed that the steering wheel control circuit runs through the SIR Coil. Since that's the case, should I then use the power from the old SIR coil? If I do, will it keep my airbag light off and is that a switched power source. Thanks in advance for any help!!!

You have to replace the air bag coil. The correct one for the steering wheels with radio controls have 6 wires instead of the 2 you currently have.

I did this conversion when I put a 97 interior in my 94 Z28.
