Well, yes...you would only get bass and no highs. The problem is that most coaxials are a combination of mid and tweeter (rather than midbass and tweeter) so they often can't handle the depth of the lows on that filtered signal. You might get bass but you would more likely get almost nothing because the speaker just can't handle it.

alright, well i'll get the components in the front doors and midbass speakers in the sail panels and just delete the rear hatch speakers and run them off the stock amp for now, and upgrade that later. then a pair of 10's and an amp in the hatch area. and i just got my HU installed today, i really like it. when my friend showed me how to do it, it really wasnt that hard after all. but thanks again for all the replies
