Default Infinity BassLink

Just got a second one in the mail. The first one was dead as a rock. Hooked it all up, no sound. . . No nothing.

Now I just got a second one, this one looks brand new. Same thing again, powers on but there is no sound at all. I hooked it up every possible way, still nothing.

Any suggestions? ? ? ?

Get an mp3/music player and a converter to make the headphone output rca compatible and see if it will even make any sound while on.......

Well here is some ****. I took the unit out of the car and hooked it straight to the battery and it worked. I figured all of this to be a bad ground in my trunk. The weird thing is that the amp LED turned on, yet the amp did not.

At least it works now.

Here are some pictures of the complete setup. I was going to put them in a separate post but after the systems guys on here build, I figured it was a waste of time.

I installed a Pioneer P6900UB Deck, it's pretty cool. It connects straight to my v3i and I can access all of the music on the Trans Flash Card.

I got some new rear 6 1/2" speakers (Clarion SRR1616). You can't beat the price of 30 Bucks for name brand.

Got me a BassLink off eGay for 120 Bucks. I ran a 8 Gauge wire from the front to wire this thing in.

I also got the install kit of eGay, I just could not find a install kit with the pocket instead of the flush ABS.

$120 For the BassLink
$30 For the 6 1/2's
$25 For the amp install kit
$20 For the receiver install kit
$175 For the receiver
$10 For the harness/antenna adapter

For a total of 380 Bucks, not bad.

I put that head unit in my truck, isn't it sweet! I have it hooked up to my ipod though. It would look a lot better if you hid the wires under the carpet, but whatever.

I ran out of wire, so it is a tad bit short. The only 2 things that suck about this deck is that you can not remove the face when it is powered down and that it makes that damn beep when you hit buttons which can not be turned off.

If it can, you know more than the owners manual and more than the Pioneer tech on the phone.

So, how do I turn it off?
