Default My HIDs stopped working?... need help.

Well my drivers side HID headlight just went out. Sometimes it just doesnt come on. Other times it flickers on and then shuts off. Or just flickers and stays on. Any ideas? Also, if its just the bulb/wires, Where can I go to get it replaced.
Heres some shitty phone pics to give an idea.

What do I need to do to fix it? I tried cutting the red wire and touched the ends together, but it still wouldnt come on. It appers as only the red wire is messed up.

That is what I thought also, but it does not seem like a full short. Maybe something intemittent.

I would get a new set and start fresh. They are not that expensive, I would also run them of a relayed independent power source if you are not doing that now.

But, hey that's just me.

You just risked your life with that move. HID bulbs take 23,000 volts to light up (IIRC, the running voltage is lower).

EDITED FOR CLARIFICATION:
The ballast takes in 12V/14V from the car and steps it up to 23,000V to start the HID capsule.

That is why I recommend a relay harness with HIDs. You can get bubls and the harness on ebay.
