amp help does anyone know of a detailed guide for wiring an amp? the directions that came with my wiring kit are pretty vague and a little more detail would be helpful. TIA
its not that hard. run power wire from battery with a inline fuse to the amp. ground the grounding wire to a bare metal surface near the amp. if its a after market h/u run a wire from the "constant on" (not the "power antenna" b/c then it only works with the radio) to the amp (where it tells it to power on not sure of exact name) then run the rca wires and your done (besides speaker wire) if its a stock h/u it gets a lil more complicated but ill write that up if you say its stock

Power wire to the battery or some 12-14.4 volt source
Ground should go to a ground on the chassis of the car
Rem. (Remote) should go to some sort of power on the headunit, or something that only cuts on when the car is on, this is what turns the amp on/off so your battery doesnt die
And last but not least the RCA cables from amp to headunit, so the amp knows what to play
Then the + to + and - to - speaker wires to the subs
Pretty easy.

yea its not that stuff im having trouble with. its the afs fuse holder. it wont hold the wire in and i cant get the screw out that i guess is supposed to hold in the wire.

wow, i felt like an idiot after i looked at the fuse holder again. lol. i couldnt see the little angles before, it looked just like a circle. thatnks for all the help im almost done with running the wires and hooking up the amp. the guy that used to have the car apparently had an amp but he ran all of his wires on one side which i heard isnt very good to do. for the hole, i just made the stock one a little bit bigger.

dont run the power wire on the same side of the other speaker wires (rca and remote one etc) you will hear enigine noise and you will be posting a thread " how come i can hear my engine in my speakers?"
